How to Quickly Edit a Palette Stack in the IDE

When working in the IDE with the Edit (pointer) tool you cannot select controls on stacks that have a mode of 3 (modeless) or 4 (palette). This lesson will show you how to quickly toggle the mode to 1 (toplevel) without having to remember the name of the stack.

Open the Revolution message box. The shortcut key on Mac is  COMMAND + M and the shortcut on Windows/Linux is CONTROL + M.

Place Mouse Pointer Over the Stack

Place the mouse pointer over the stack you want to change to toplevel (1) and type 'toplevel the mousestack' in the message box (2). Press the Return/Enter key to execute the statement.

The stack is now toplevel and can be edited.
